Younser Lee (b.1994, Seoul, South Korea) is doing various works as an artist, educator, and director in South Korea.
With various work experiences, Lee values a human-centered approach and narrative and pursues visual and multi-sensory experiences centered on humans and life. Based on a research-oriented approach, her work embraces mixed media based on daily objects and shows multidisciplinary works according to the specificity of the context.
Lee aims to connect individual stories and contemporary issues to think and act on what inventive and conceptual art can contribute to human life and society.
Lee’s works have been exhibited by galleries and museums in the United States, South Korea, and Europe. Lee holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sculpture) that she received at Kookmin University in South Korea and a Master's degree in Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
이윤서는 현재 예술가로서, 교육자로서, 또는 기획자로서 다양한 작업들을 하고있다. 다양한 경험을 바탕으로, 이윤서는 인간 중심적 접근 방식과 서사를 중요시하며 작업 속에서 사람과 생활 중심의 시각적, 다감각적 경험을 추구하는 것이 특징이다. 또한 그녀의 작업은 일상적 대상을 기반으로 다양한 혼합매체를 수용하며 현상 연구를 바탕으로 한 다학제적인 작품을 보여준다. 이 흐름에서 이윤서는 관람객들이 그녀의 작품으로 개인의 사유(思惟)를 통한 대상의 사유(私有) 과정을 경험할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 이윤서는 독창적이고 개념적인 예술이 사람의 생활과 사회에 기여할 수 있는 것이 무엇인지 항상 생각하고 행동하는 것을 목표로 개인의 이야기와 동시대의 다양한 이슈를 연결시키고자 한다.
