How did we count objects before the concept of numbers existed?
Today, we often encounter products labeled by how many people can use them.
But when we return to nature, numbers lose their meaning.
In nature, numbers are never absolute—they are fluid and relative.
A large stone, for example, can serve many different purposes for different people.
Its value or function isn’t determined by a number but by how it’s perceived and used.
This work invites viewers to question the true meaning of numbers in our society, and how those values shape the way we define, limit, and understand the world around us.

숫자의 개념이 정의되기 이전, 우리는 사물을 어떻게 셌을까요?
오늘날 우리는 ‘몇 인용’이라는 식으로 숫자에 따라 정의된 제품들을 쉽게 볼 수 있습니다.
하지만 자연으로 돌아가 보면, 숫자는 아무 의미도 없습니다.
자연 속에서 숫자는 절대적인 기준이 될 수 없습니다.
숫자는 언제나 변할 수 있는 것이기 때문입니다.
예를 들어, 하나의 커다란 돌을 여러 사람이 인원수 제한 없이 다양한 방식으로 사용할 수 있습니다.
이 작업은 관객으로 하여금 우리가 사는 사회에서 인간이 정의한 숫자가 과연 어떤 의미를 가지는지 질문하게 합니다.
