People in modern society seem to rely on countless forms of measurement.
We see this clearly in something as ordinary as cooking. There are specific tools for every task—scales, measuring cups, timers.
But without these tools, would we be unable to cook well?
Over time, people have unconsciously come to depend on precise measurements in nearly every part of their lives.
This project questions that dependence. By removing the colors from familiar ingredients in a mixed media sculpture, the work explores the metaphorical implications of over-reliance on measurement. The video installation presents a humorous take on what it might be like to taste or cook without a recipe, without measurements—inviting viewers to imagine a world where intuition and spontaneity guide our decisions instead.

오늘날 우리의 사회는 너무 많은 종류의 단위 측정에 얽매이고 있는 듯 보입니다.
그 대표적인 예 중 하나는 요리입니다. 요리를 위해 우리는 정말 다양한 측정 도구들을 사용하죠.
하지만 만약 이런 도구들이 발명되지 않았다거나 이런 계량의 개념이 정립 되기 이전엔, 우리는 맛있는 요리를 하지 못했을까요?
사람들은 인식하지 못한 채, 삶의 많은 부분에서 측정에 의존하게 되었습니다.
이 작업은 그 점에 대한 질문에서 출발했습니다.
또한 이 영상 설치는 관객에게 ‘레시피나 계량에 의존하지 않고 요리한다면 어떤 맛일까?'
'그것은 인류가 정의한 것을 따르지 않았기에 실패일까?’ 하는 유쾌한 상상과 가능성을 제안하고자 합니다.
