In today’s society, we seem to be bound by an overwhelming number of units and systems of measurement.
One of the most familiar examples is cooking. To prepare food, we rely on a wide range of measuring tools.
But if such tools had never been invented, or if these human centered systems of measurement had not yet been established, would we have been unable to cook something delicious?
Without realizing it, people have come to depend on measurement and numerical units in many aspects of everyday life.
This work begins with that question.
Through this video installation, I invite viewers to imagine, in a playful way, what cooking might taste like if it were done without relying on recipes or measurements.
Would such an outcome be considered a failure simply because it does not follow systems defined by humanity?

오늘날 우리의 사회는 너무 많은 종류의 단위와 단위 측정에 얽매이고 있는 것 같다.
그 대표적인 예 중 하나는 요리이다. 요리를 위해 우리는 정말 다양한 측정 도구들을 사용한다.
하지만 만약 이런 도구들이 발명되지 않았다거나 이런 인간 중심의 계량 개념이 정립 되기 이전엔, 우리는 맛있는 요리를 하지 못했을까?
사람들은 인식하지 못한 채, 삶의 많은 부분에서 측정과 수의 단위에 의존하게 되었다.
이 작업은 그 점에 대한 질문에서 출발했다.
또한 이 영상 설치는 관객에게 ‘레시피나 계량에 의존하지 않고 요리한다면 어떤 맛일까?'
'그것은 인류가 정의한 것을 따르지 않았기에 실패일까?’ 하는 유쾌한 상상과 가능성을 제안하고자 한다.
